Joe Betterman, NYAC, filling in for teammate and World Champion Joe Warren lost his first round match and was eliminated from the tournament. It was Joe’s first experience on the world stage and the USA will have to qualify next year at one of the 4 qualifying tournaments.
Tomorrow’s competition will have Brad Vering and Justin Ruiz of the NYAC going for the Gold Medal along with TC Dantzler, a former NYAC wrestler now wrestling for the Gator Club. The trio all have the ability to win a medal and with a good draw, an excellent chance to win a Gold.
