The Press Conference for the inaugural USAW/Asics 2005 Beach Championships sponsored by the Metropolitan Wrestling Association was held beginning at 6:30am with MWA Board Member and a World Level Official handling the interview and promoting the event. WINS1010am is the largest news radio show in the USA will begin tomorrow morning at 5:30am playing 30 second spots every 45 minutes with different interviews with the Long Beach wrestlers and Alice Stockton-Rossini from 1010WINS..

At 10:30am Newsday, the 4th largest circulation in the United States behind USA Today, NY Times and LA Times sent their Olympic reporter John Jeansonne interviewing all the organizers of the event as well as Gary Abbott, USAW Staff.

Channel 12 News, Long Island News Cable System outlet spent several hours taping different segments of Beach Wrestling to be used on their news shows Friday and Saturday to help us promote the event.

Later in the morning Al Tellex, Channel 55 out of Hauppauge, long Island and his television crew came and did interviews with the wrestlers and staff for showing for the evening news Thursday and Friday morning.

After it was all over, Channel 12 followed the kids into the Ocean where they went for some fun in the surf. Beach wrestling is fun!
