The Metropolitan Wrestling Association (MWA) made a special presentation during the New York Athletic Club Christmas International Championships in New York City to one of the true legents of wrestling, the New York Athletic Club's own Bill Farrell. The award was in celebration of Farrell's 75th birthday, as well as his lifelong contributions to wrestling. A large trophy, with the station of the NYAC, was presented to Farrell during the finals of the championships..
