The Metropolitan Wrestling Association (MWA) visits the new office of the New York

Setrak Agonian is working for many years with Lewis Harman president of the SASF "Skippy" Skip Harman and New York Junior Tennis League. They are both members of the New York Amateur Sports Alliance..

On the meeting Setrak Agonian reported the progress with the Beat The Streets Program and expressed his frustration with the funding problems and the difficult access to the Middle Schools.

Lewis Harman invited Setrak Agonian and the MWA Beat The Streets committee led by the MWA chairman Al Bevilaqua to visit their new office on 58-12 Queens Boulevard, Woodside NY, 11377 and discuss possibilities for cooperation between MWA and SASF with issues related to the access to Middle Schools for launching the MWA BTS program. Both organizations share the same goal - to promote sports in the High Schools and Middle Schools.

The MWA Board met on May 11th, together with SASF Executive Director Ellen Markovitz and SASF President Lewis Harman. They showed the wonderful facilities SASF had acquired recentl and Lewis (Skippy) explained how he accomplished all this.

The MWA Board and Sports and Arts School Foundation President Lewis Hartman, discussing the future of the BTS Program. MWA Board introduced itself individually. Chairman of BTS program Al Bevilaqua presented a T-Shirt with the BTS logo and MWA President Setrak Agonian presented a special collection item medal replica of the World Championships in Freestyle Wrestling 2003.

President MWA Setrak Agonian thanked SASF E.D. Ellen Markovitz and SASF President Lewis Hartman for their time and offer for cooperation.

Also, Setrak Agonian stated that this is the result of being a member of the New York Amateur Sports Alliance (ASA), joining together different sports and sharing help with each other for the good of the New York City Kids. We both dream that some day these kids may grow up and become Future Olympians.
